Design of a short clip advertising the upcoming concert "2023" of Israeli singer/songwriter Aya Korem.
The album "2023" on which the concert is based, was released in 2015 by Aya Korem. It came as a final note to a personal saga Korem had dealt with in her attempt to escape a cruel contract with her label company, by which she was obligated to release all of her work under its restricting terms, until the year of 2023, when it will expire.
In the album, Korem had gathered an impressive list of singers of various types and genres. All the songs are part of a continuous story about an allegoric future dystopia in which big corporations hold captive every thought and memory of all people, demanding payment for an access to them.
Korem wrote and composed all songs along her spouse Alon, but her voice is heard in just one song - "How does a drowning man feel". It is after those metaphor and atmosphere of this song that I chose to design the concert ad, giving a sense of both despair and hope, artificial and natural, mixed in the fight of modern life.
